Condensation heat recovery in the spotlight – SEEN Technologie at the 18th TPOK Conference

The 18th Conference “Thermal Treatment of Municipal Waste” has come to an end – one of the key events for the TPOK and ITPOK sector in Poland. SEEN Technologie was represented by Tomasz Płatek, Deputy Sales Director, and Grzegorz Michalik, Head of the Tendering Department.

During the conference, we presented our project – a modern flue gas condensation heat recovery system, commissioned in June 2023 at the Thermal Waste Treatment Plant owned by the Krakow Municipal Holding (Krakowski Holding Komunalny). The project enabled an increase in heat production without the need to incinerate larger amounts of waste, while simultaneously reducing CO₂ emissions, lowering flue gas temperature, and cutting water consumption by approximately 50,000 m³ per year.

The installation has been:

– recognized in the “Modernization of the Year 2023” competition (Nowa Energia publishing house),
– awarded 1st place in the #ecoPROJECT category in the #ecoLEADERS2024 competition, organized by the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW) in Krakow.
