SM 'Mlekpol' in Grajewo: Get to know one of our latest achievements!
At the end of the third quarter of last year, we commissioned a fermentation installation along with a biogas section. We completed the project under the 'design and build' formula, fully adapting the design to the specifics of the SM 'Mlekpol' production plant in Grajewo.
A successfully implemented investment not only allows for effective utilization of waste, by reducing sewage production by 6 times and converting their value into commercial value, but also provides a positive energy balance with an excess of approximately 3500 MW/year of green energy to the grid, which means a shift in the economic perspective of the wastewater treatment plant from costly to self-sufficient, profit-generating. Additionally, thanks to this installation, we have reduced carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, aligning with the global strategy to combat climate change.
It is worth emphasizing that SM "Mlekpol" in Grajewo was honored with the title of "Eco-Investor 2023 in the Food Industry" for the construction of this installation. The award confirms that the investment not only brings business benefits but also represents a significant step towards sustainable development in the dairy industry.
