The importance of desalination of water: Innovative solutions from SEEN Technologies
In the latest issue of the Chemistry Direction quarterly, our article dedicated to one of the key challenges of the modern world has been published – water desalination.
The salinization of rivers, such as the Oder, poses serious environmental, ecological, and economic challenges for us. Destruction of ecosystems, deterioration of drinking water quality, and issues in agriculture are just some of the negative consequences of this phenomenon.
In the article, we discuss the causes and effects of river salinization, as well as present advanced technologies such as nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, reversible electrodialysis, and evaporative and crystallization systems that allow for effective reduction of water salinity levels, regardless of the scale of the problem.
Investing in desalination technologies is a step towards a sustainable future where rivers can regain their natural functions and river ecosystems can return to balance.
